There are worse ways to start off a launch party than with Green Line Pale Ale and barbecue on a pretzel roll. And that’s exactly what went down at Built in Chicago‘s official launch this week, which provided a networking environment both productive and delicious.
Chicago tech stalwart Steadfast Networks served up the tasty food and drink, 1871 provided the space, and Built in Chicago attracted the collection of investors, entrepreneurs, and developers interested in hearing about the Midwest’s five newest startups.
Featured companies included Elixserve, bethie b., StorkStack, Who’s In?, and fellow education reformer noredink, which uses a compelling interactive user interface and topics that kids actually care about to improve grammar skills.
You can get a full breakdown of the evening’s festivities on the BIC Blog, and be sure to nominate MentorMob for the Best Education or Recruitment Startup Moxie Award.
Act fast! Nominations end May 21st.
