It’s been a HUGE year for MentorMob, and it’s only getting better. We’re already half way through 2013 and you might have missed the most popular blog posts so far this year.
The beginning of 2013 brought an amazing opportunity to the MentorMob team: They joined an incredible group of other Chicago Innovators on the floor of the NASDAQ-and the enormous screen over Times Square! The team was also honored to accept the Veder Price Innovation Award, and have only continued to expand their community of life-long learners.
Instead of celebrating along the bright green Chicago River, Charles spent St. Patty’s Day at the 2013 DML Conference discussing Mozilla’s Open Badge credentialing initiative. He and Kristin also showed off the work they’d completed as partners with Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana teaching girls how to build Android apps. After completing App Boot Camp, girls could show off their new skills with a digital badge added to a digital sash.
In MentorMob’s most popular post of this year, the team was thrilled to join forces with the Kwagala Project to launch the #iEmpower campaign. By connecting with people around the world, they helped empower the women taking part in the Kwagala Project. To learn more about this remarkable partnership, check out their interview in Forbes.
