  • Buying An Electric Guitar
Common sense rules to make an informed purchase. Have patience - do not decide you HAVE to buy the guitar that day. Plan on taking at least two trips to the music store before buying. Maintain control - you have the buying power, and thus you are in charge! Don't let music store staff intimidate you. Research - the web is a great place to find info on guitars. Use it to your advantage! Get help - if possible, recruit a friend who plays guitar to help you choose an instrument. If you're flying solo, don't be afraid to ask music store employees multiple questions.

Love it!

Like that one of the first steps is how to BUY and electric guitar. This really helps figuring out what I should be looking for, but also learning the different parts of the guitar. Great work everyone!

Begins at the Beginning

This playlist is great! A lot of teachers gloss over the absolute rock bottom fundamentals, and this way you can learn how to get started without developing any bad habits by accident.

Great for Beginners

This Playlist is great for anyone starting out on their first Guitar. The steps are placed in an easy to follow sequence, and I particularly like the 'History of The Classical Guitar' step! It gives the Playlist a little more depth.

I wish I had this learning tool when I was a beginner guitarist. Those tutorial DVDs were so out of date. I'm anxious to here how everyone is doing with their new musical skill!
