Engineering

You will be working directly with the CTO, Creative Director and Product Manager. You must be able to be impressive and concentrate in the presence of flying Nerf darts. As always a portfolio or working portfolio is a plus!

UX Intern

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Ability to keep up to speed with front end designer as well as seasoned UX gurus
• Ability to implement wire frames in HTML and CSS
• Take requirements to website maps to action paths to wire frames

Web Developer Intern

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Develop cool and useful features for Mentor Mob
• Use expertise in JavaScript (fluent), AJAX, jQuery, HTML/DOM, and CSS
• Implement Mastery of cross browser markup HTML and CSS

Search and Data-Mining Engineer Intern

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Tackle machine learning and information retrieval problems
• Show a strong grasp of algorithms and data structures; expertise in Python, Java, or C++, and utilize it to add value to the MentorMob team

Back-end Engineer Intern

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Build whole systems that are simple and scalable
• Expertise in PHP and Webservices (REST)
• Knowledgeable of HTML 5 & CSS 3
• Battle-worn MySQL knowledge
• Showing and utilizing knowledge in Linux System Administration is extra impressive, but not an immediate requirement.

Mobile Developer Intern

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Create fun and useful mobile applications for the iOS and/or Android platforms and beyond
• Expertise in Objective C or Java
• The following are pluses:
  • You have apps in the App Store
  • Experience with web for mobile
  • Experience with PhoneGap or similar platforms

Content Ambassadors

Content Ambassadors at MentorMob use their passion to learn to create Learning Playlists™ that are used by people all over the world. Our Ambassadors currently volunteer their time to help build the MentorMob community into something larger than all of us.

Social Media Marketing

If you regularly almost get run over by traffic, because you are looking down to check your latest social updates... then come on down... you can be the next contestant for MentorMob! We need someone who is always up-to-date with what is going on with friends, work peers, the city... you know what, we actually need someone who is AHEAD of everyone else. Someone who is being followed by thousands... are you that witty, quirky person who tweets and makes people NEED to know what is next, or maybe you just know you could be that person. Come follow us!

You are:

• Journalism, Marketing or PR major
• Experienced editor or copywriter - with 1-3 years of experience
• Creative and witty human being while writing - bring us samples :)
• More than knowledgeable in Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and know that there is way more to social media than just those three
• A person with a deep love and respect for teaching and learning from everything and everyone you encounter
• A comedian or improv student now or in the past, we all like a good laugh.
